2025 1/4 oz American Gold Eagle (MD® Premier + PCGS FirstStrike®)
The 2025 ten-dollar gold coin represents a continuation of a premier American coinage tradition that first began in 1986. Authorized under legislation from 1985, this piece contains a quarter troy ounce of pure gold within a durable alloy of gold, silver, and copper. The total weight of the coin is roughly 8.48 grams, struck with a purity of 0.9167 and backed fully by the United States government. On the front, the design presents Lady Liberty in stride, grasping a torch and an olive branch. This iconic image is adapted from the famous 1907 Gold Double Eagle created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The word LIBERTY and the year 2025 are clearly visible on this side of the coin. The reverse features a highly detailed, close-up profile of an American bald eagle. This modern illustration was created by Jennie Norris and introduced to the series during the 2021 redesign, offering a fresh artistic perspective on a classic national symbol.
