The 2025 American Silver Eagle represents a continuation of the most celebrated silver bullion coin program from the United States. Guaranteed for its weight and purity by the United States Mint, each coin contains one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver. This modern dollar coin carries forward a legacy of precious metal striking that began when the series was first introduced in 1986. The obverse side displays the classic Walking Liberty design, a historic artistic creation by Adolph A. Weinman that has graced the face of these coins since the inaugural 1986 release. The elegant figure of Liberty is accompanied by the legible inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "2025". On the reverse, viewers can appreciate a newer artistic direction. Redesigned in 2021, this side features a detailed depiction of an eagle in mid-air as it descends to land, clutching an oak branch in its talons. This reverse artwork was created by Emily Damstra, bringing a fresh, naturalistic perspective to the nation's official silver bullion coin.
