Introduced originally in 2011, this official legal tender of the Republic of Armenia carries a face value of 500 Dram. The Central Bank of Armenia issues the series, with each piece containing one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver. Manufactured by a private minting facility in Germany, the weight and precious metal purity of these coins are fully backed and guaranteed by the Armenian state. The obverse side displays the detailed coat of arms for the Republic of Armenia. Alongside this national emblem, the face value of 500 DRAM and the 2025 year of issue are clearly struck, surrounded by inscriptions indicating the country of origin and the silver content. On the reverse, artist Eduard Kurghinyan captures a dramatic biblical scene. A solitary dove flies in the foreground holding an olive branch, while Noah's Ark floats upon the receding floodwaters. In the background, the sun rises behind the peaks of Mount Ararat, creating a powerful visual narrative of hope and renewal.
