The reverse of this modern one dollar coin meticulously recreates the iconic Spanish Pillar Dollar, historically known as a peso or 'piece of eight'. At its center, two crowned globes representing the Old and New Worlds sit beneath the Spanish Crown, accompanied by the Latin inscription 'VTRAQUE', meaning 'both are one'.
