This silver coin marks the fourth release in a celebrated lunar calendar series, honoring the Year of the Snake for 2025. Minted with one troy ounce of 0.9999 fine silver, the piece carries a legal tender value of 15 dollars, fully backed by Canadian authority. The coin is struck in a proof finish, highlighting the intricate details of its symbolic design. On the reverse, artist Jai Paek captures the essence of the wood element for the 2025 lunar cycle. A snake is shown winding through a tree, its body gracefully curving to mimic the shape of the number eight, which is traditionally associated with good fortune. An orchid blossom complements the scene, while the snake's head is positioned facing toward the east. The reverse also displays the Chinese character representing the snake, alongside the inscriptions CANADA, 2025, and 15 DOLLARS. The obverse presents the portrait of King Charles III, a design created by artist Steven Rosati. Surrounding the royal effigy are the Latin inscriptions CHARLES III and D. G. REX.
