The Chinese Silver Panda series has captured the imagination of coin enthusiasts since its debut in 1983. Apart from a single pause in production in 1986, these coins have been issued annually, showcasing a fresh depiction of the giant panda nearly every year. The sole exception to this rule occurred in 2002, which repeated the design from the previous year. These coins are produced across multiple facilities, including mints in Shenyang, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, though they do not carry mint marks to distinguish their specific origin. Each coin contains 30 grams of 0.999 fine silver, backed by the People's Bank of China. On the obverse, the coin displays the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, located within Beijing's historic Temple of Heaven. This architectural marvel is framed by the Chinese characters representing the People's Republic of China, with the 2025 year of issue inscribed below. The reverse side presents a heartwarming wildlife scene. A mother panda sits holding a branch of bamboo, accompanied by her two young cubs. One playful cub rests on her leg, while the other is positioned behind them on a rock. This detailed image is accompanied by inscriptions indicating the weight and purity, "30 g Ag 0.999", along with the face value of 10 Yuan.
