The Italian State Mint launched a captivating new numismatic journey in 2025 with its Flora and Fauna Series, choosing the daisy as its inaugural subject. Struck in one ounce of 0.999 fine silver, this coin carries a face value of 0.25 Euro and has a maximum production limit of 16,000 pieces. Measuring 38.61 mm in diameter, this specimen has been certified in high-grade Mint State 69 condition, preserving the crisp details of its naturalistic engravings. On the obverse side, wild daisies (Leucanthemum) are rendered with delicate precision. The design incorporates the country of issue, REPUBBLICA ITALIANA, alongside the year 2025, the Rome mintmark R, and the signature of the artist, A.MASINI. The botanical name LEUCANTHEMUM is also clearly inscribed, anchoring the scientific theme of the series. The reverse side presents an allegorical representation of Italy's diverse plant life through the face of a woman adorned with blossoms. This central figure is flanked by branches of oak and olive, traditional symbols that frame the denomination of 0,25 EURO. The inscriptions FLORA and 1 oz Ag 999 are visible, accompanied by the signature of the designer, M.CIUCCI.
