Struck by the historic Casa de Moneda de México, this impressive modern coin contains two troy ounces of 0.999 fine silver. It was issued to mark a major milestone: the centennial of the country's central bank, Banco de México, which was established in 1925. With a limited mintage of only 5,000 pieces, this specific coin is certified in nearly flawless Proof 69 Ultra Cameo condition. The obverse displays the Mexican national shield, an eagle perched on a cactus with a snake in its beak, surrounded by the words "Estados Unidos Méxicanos." Encircling this central image is a sequence of historical national coats of arms used throughout the country's past. The reverse features the grand front facade of the main headquarters of the Banco de México. It also displays a special commemorative emblem reading "100 Banco de México 1925-2025" alongside the inscription "Centenario de la fundacion del Banco de México." The design is completed with the "$10" denomination and the "M°" mint mark of the Mexico City Mint.
