2025 Mexico 2 oz Silver Libertad Reverse Proof PF-70 NGC (ER)
The 2025 two-ounce silver Libertad showcases the artistic mastery of Mexico's national mint, the Casa de Moneda de México. This particular issue features a reverse proof finish, a striking numismatic treatment where the background is frosted and the design elements are polished to a mirror-like shine. This release represents only the sixth year that the two-ounce silver coin has been produced with this specific finish, and the total mintage is strictly limited to just 300 pieces. Each coin is guaranteed by the Banco de México and has been certified in perfect Proof 70 condition. On the obverse, the central design features the modern Mexican national shield, which is elegantly encircled by ten historical versions of the country's coats of arms. The inscription ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS is clearly visible above the central shield. The reverse side depicts the iconic Winged Victory statue, a symbol of independence, standing proudly against a background that features the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes. The reverse also bears the inscriptions detailing the weight, year, and purity, reading 2 ONZAS, PLATA PURA, 2025, and LEY 0.999, alongside the Mo mint mark of the Mexico City Mint.
