The 2025 Rwandan Nautical Ounce silver coin marks a major milestone, commemorating the 260th anniversary of the legendary HMS Victory. Launched originally in 1765, this famed vessel was crafted at Chatham Dockyard under the design direction of Sir Thomas Slade. It would later secure its place in naval history as the flagship for Vice-Admiral Lord Nelson during the historic Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. This modern release represents the ninth entry in Rwanda's celebrated Nautical Ounce series. One side of this brilliant uncirculated coin showcases the HMS Victory under full sail, set against the backdrop of a stylized compass. The detailed scene is accompanied by nautical instruments and inscriptions noting the ship's name, the 2025 year of issue, and the silver purity of 0.999. On the other side, the official seal of the Republic of Rwanda is prominently displayed alongside the face value of 50 Francs, all struck in one troy ounce of fine silver.
