This exquisite silver proof coin marks the ninth entry in the celebrated Nautical Ounce series. Struck in one ounce of 0.999 pure silver, the issue is limited to a mintage of just 1,000 pieces. The design honors the 260th anniversary of the HMS Victory, a historic vessel launched in 1765 after being built at Chatham Dockyard from the designs of Sir Thomas Slade. The ship is most famous for its role as the flagship of Vice Admiral Lord Nelson during the monumental Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The obverse of the coin captures the majestic vessel under full sail, set against the backdrop of a stylized compass. Detailed depictions of nautical instruments accompany the central image, alongside the inscriptions HMS VICTORY, the year 2025, and the purity of the metal.
