This modern silver coin from 2025 represents the second year of San Marino's annual bullion release, a program that first commenced in 2024. Struck by the Austrian Mint, the coin contains one troy ounce of 0.999 pure silver and has been graded in perfect Mint State 70 condition. With a diameter of 38.61 millimeters, this five Euro legal tender release is limited to a maximum mintage of 20,000 pieces. The obverse side of the coin features a detailed depiction of a peregrine falcon, positioned on a tree branch while glancing back over its shoulder. This predatory bird holds a deep connection to the independence and historical heritage of San Marino. Surrounding the falcon are inscriptions detailing the coin's weight, metal purity, face value, the year 2025, and the names of the bird and the issuing nation. On the reverse, the official coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino is displayed, a design created by Antonella Napolione. This emblem showcases three feather-topped towers situated on mountain peaks, all enclosed within a shield beneath a crown. The Italian phrase REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO circles this national symbol.
