The 2025 West Point minted silver dollar represents a continuation of a classic American coin series that first debuted in 1986. Struck in one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, this piece is crafted using the proof minting process, which results in a sharp contrast between the frosted design elements and the mirror-like background fields. This particular specimen has achieved the highest possible grade of Proof 70 Ultra Cameo. The front of the coin displays the iconic Walking Liberty design originally created by Adolph A. Weinman. It features Lady Liberty wrapped in the folds of the American flag, walking toward a rising sun. Inscriptions on this side include the word LIBERTY, the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 2025. On the back, the design created by Emily Damstra features a powerful eagle in mid-descent, clutching an oak branch in its talons. Surrounding this central image are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, and 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, alongside the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. The West Point mint mark, a distinct W, is also visible on this side of the coin.
