This modern silver coin from Canada marks the centenary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II. Struck in a proof finish, the piece contains 0.7449 troy ounces of highly pure 0.9999 silver. The design serves as a detailed tribute, blending royal heritage with national symbols on its surfaces. On the reverse, the central focus is the Diamond Maple Leaf Brooch, a historic piece of jewelry originally commissioned in 1939. Accompanying the brooch is the Royal Cypher and a ring of thirteen maple leaves, representing the Canadian provinces and territories. The dual dates of 1926 to 2026 are also inscribed on this side, framing the century since her birth. In contrast to the reverse tribute, the obverse features the contemporary effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Steven Rosati. This legal tender one-dollar coin is backed by the Royal Canadian Mint, with a strictly limited release of 17,500 pieces.
