2026 Rwanda 1/12 oz Gold Nautical Ounce 100 Yrs Kruzenshtern BU
This gold issue from the Nautical Ounce series marks a century since the construction of the Kruzenshtern, which holds the distinction of being the final cargo sailing vessel produced by the F. Laeisz shipping line. Originally christened the Padua, the ship received its current name in 1946, honoring Admiral Adam Johann von Krusenstern. The obverse features the celebrated vessel under full sail, accompanied by a stylized compass and representations of traditional navigating tools. Legible inscriptions on this side include the ship's name, the year 2026, and the metal weight and purity. On the reverse, the official seal of the issuing nation is displayed alongside the denomination of 100 Francs. Struck in a limited mintage of 1,000 pieces, each coin contains 1/12 ounce of 0.9999 fine gold and carries the official backing of the Rwandan government.
