The obverse of the coin showcases the profile of Athena, the patron goddess of Athens. She is depicted wearing a crested Attic helmet, which is adorned with three olive leaves and a delicate spiral palmette. A round earring with a central boss is visible on her ear, adding a touch of elegance to the martial imagery of her protective headgear. On the reverse, the goddess's sacred companion, the owl, stands facing three-quarters to the right with its head turned directly toward the viewer.
