China Qin Dynasty AE Cash (221-206 BC) Avg Circ
Dating back to the ancient Qin Dynasty, between 221 and 206 BC, these bronze cash coins represent a pivotal era in the history of Imperial China. These pieces circulated widely, not only within the borders of the empire but also throughout neighboring regions including ancient Japan and Korea. The obverse of this copper-alloy coin features traditional Chinese characters arranged around a distinctive central hole, a classic design element of ancient Chinese currency. In contrast to the inscribed front, the reverse side of the coin is entirely plain and unadorned.
