This silver hemidrachm, minted between 780 and 793 AD, offers a fascinating window into the ancient region of Tabaristan. Surviving in uncirculated condition, this artifact is more than 1,200 years old and carries a silver content of approximately 0.1000 troy ounces. The obverse of the coin features a detailed portrait of a ruler facing right, adorned with an elaborate winged crown.
