This silver coin, known as a Tram, originates from the medieval Kingdom of Armenia during the era of the Crusades. Minted under the authority of King Levon I, who ruled from 1198 to 1219 AD, the piece offers a window into the artistic traditions of a kingdom situated at the crossroads of medieval empires. The obverse side displays King Levon I wearing a crown and seated upon a throne. On either side of the monarch, guardian lions stand in attendance.
