This ancient silver drachm represents one of the most recognizable and enduring coin designs from antiquity. Struck as a posthumous issue following the era of Alexander III, commonly known as Alexander the Great, the coin carries a weight of 0.1369 troy ounces of silver. It serves as a tangible link to the vast Macedonian empire and the artistic conventions that spread in its wake. The obverse of the coin features a detailed profile of the mythical hero Heracles, turned toward the right. He is depicted wearing his signature headpiece fashioned from the skin of the Nemean lion, a symbol of strength and divine favor.
