Mexico Gold 2 Pesos (Random) AU-BU
Mexico Gold 2 Pesos (Random) AU-BU
Struck by the Banco de México, this small gold coin represents a classic era of Mexican coinage. Produced between the years 1919 and 1948, the coin is composed of 0.900 fine gold, containing 0.0482 troy ounces of precious metal. While original minting spanned several decades, many of these pieces bear the restrike year of 1945. The obverse features the traditional Mexican coat of arms, showing an eagle perched atop a cactus with a snake grasped firmly in its beak and talon. This powerful emblem is accompanied by the national inscription. On the reverse, the denomination of "Dos Pesos" is clearly displayed, positioned just below the issue year. A beautifully detailed laurel wreath wraps around the central denomination, completing a balanced and historic design that captures the artistry of Mexican minting.
