During the middle of the twentieth century, the Royal Dutch Mint produced a striking silver coin for the Netherlands with a face value of 2 1/2 Gulden. Struck between the years 1959 and 1966, these pieces represent a classic era of Dutch currency, containing 0.3472 troy ounces of pure silver within a 0.720 fine silver alloy. One side of the coin features the profile of Queen Juliana, facing right, surrounded by her royal title.
