This particular silver coin, struck between 193 and 211 AD, features the prominent historical figure Julia Domna. Known for her immense influence and political acumen, the empress is immortalized on these ancient issues, offering a direct tangible link to the imperial court of Rome. The obverse of the coin displays a detailed right-facing bust of Julia Domna, framed by the clear Latin inscription IVLIA AVGVSTA.
