Dating back to the era of the Roman Republic between 179 and 170 BC, this ancient silver denarius offers a tangible link to the classical world. Crafted from silver with a weight of 2.97 grams, this anonymous issue represents the early monetary traditions of Rome, long before the rise of the emperors. The obverse side of the coin features the profile of Rome, depicted wearing a helmet and facing to the right.
