In the final year of the eighteenth century, the Philadelphia Mint produced this silver dollar, capturing a foundational era of American coinage. This specimen has survived more than two centuries, carrying the marks of its journey through early American commerce while retaining the clear details of its historic artistry. It has been certified by independent authenticators as Very Fine 30 (VF-30), indicating a coin that saw moderate circulation yet preserved its essential design elements. The obverse showcases the Draped Bust portrait of Liberty, a representation of the nation's early aesthetic ideals. Her hair is bound elegantly with a ribbon, with loose tresses flowing down her shoulders.
