1901 $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagle MS-62 PCGS

0.2419 troy oz .900 1901 MS-62 (PCGS)

Struck in the first year of the twentieth century, this five-dollar gold piece represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted from 0.900 fine gold, the coin contains 0.2419 troy ounces of precious metal. It has survived the decades in remarkable condition, earning a certified grade of Mint State 62 (MS-62) for its preserved luster and detail. The obverse features a profile of Liberty wearing a band inscribed with her name, encircled by thirteen stars representing the original colonies. Below her portrait, the date 1901 is clearly visible. On the reverse, a heraldic eagle stands with a protective shield over its chest, clutching an olive branch and arrows. The eagle is surrounded by the country of origin, United States of America, and the five-dollar denomination, all backed by the official guarantee of the United States Mint.
