Minted at the San Francisco facility, it features the distinctive S mint mark on the reverse. The coin is composed of 90 percent gold, containing 0.4838 troy ounces of the precious metal. Out of a total mintage of 2,812,750 pieces for this specific year and mint, this particular specimen has survived in remarkable condition, earning a certified grade of Mint State 63 (MS-63). The obverse features a left-facing profile of Liberty, her hair bound by a band clearly inscribed with her name. Thirteen stars encircle her image, representing the original colonies, with the date 1901 positioned at the bottom. On the reverse, a detailed heraldic eagle clutches an olive branch and arrows, shielded by a patriotic crest. The legend surrounding the eagle reads United States of America, while the denomination is expressed at the bottom as Ten D.
