1903 $10 Liberty Gold Eagle MS-63 NGC

0.4838 troy oz .900 1903 NGC

In 1903, the Philadelphia Mint produced a limited run of 125,830 ten-dollar gold pieces. This particular specimen survived the decades in exceptional condition, earning a certified grade of Mint State 63 (MS-63). Struck from 0.4838 troy ounces of actual gold with a purity of 0.900, it represents a classic era of United States coinage before the recall of gold in 1933. The obverse features the iconic profile of Liberty, her hair secured by a coronet, surrounded by stars with the date 1903 positioned below. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle holding an olive branch and arrows, flanked by the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination "TEN D." The traditional mottoes "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" are also integrated into the design. Because it was struck at the main Philadelphia facility, this coin carries no mint mark.
