The 1904 Liberty Head nickel represents a classic era of United States five-cent coinage. Struck in Philadelphia, this coin displays a distinct design created by Charles Barber. The front of the coin features a left-facing portrait of Liberty, who wears a crown inscribed with her name, surrounded by stars and the date of mintage at the bottom. On the reverse side, the central design element is a large Roman numeral V, representing the five-cent denomination.
