The five-cent piece of 1904 represents a classic era in United States coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this copper-nickel coin features the iconic Liberty Head design on its obverse, framed by the date of manufacture. The reverse displays the prominent Roman numeral V, denoting its five-cent face value, surrounded by a wreath and the national inscriptions. This particular specimen has survived more than a century in remarkable condition, earning a certified grade of Mint State 64 (MS-64). Out of a total mintage of 21,403,167 pieces produced that year, very few remain in such an uncirculated state, preserving the crisp details of the original engraving just as it looked when it left the Philadelphia facility.
