1908 Liberty Head V Nickel Good+
The 1908 Liberty Head nickel represents a classic era of United States minor coinage. Struck in Philadelphia, this five-cent piece showcases the artistic vision of Charles Barber. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty, who wears a crown inscribed with her name, surrounded by stars and the date of issue at the bottom. On the reverse, the coin displays its most famous feature: a large Roman numeral V. This central denomination indicator is encircled by a wreath, which is itself surrounded by the national motto of unity and the name of the issuing nation. This particular specimen survives in Good condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated widely in early twentieth-century commerce.
