1910 Lincoln Cent BU (Red/Brown)

Introduced in the early twentieth century, this 1910 Lincoln cent represents one of the earliest years of a design that would become a staple of American pocket change. Struck in a copper alloy composed of 95 percent copper alongside a 5 percent blend of tin and zinc, this coin is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, displaying a distinct red and brown coloration that develops naturally on copper over time. The obverse of the coin features the classic, detailed profile bust of Abraham Lincoln facing right. Positioned above his portrait is the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, while the word LIBERTY stands to his left, and the date 1910 is struck clearly to his right. This iconic portrait was created by the sculptor Victor David Brenner. On the reverse, the coin displays its original design format, which features two stylized stalks of wheat framing the central inscriptions. The denomination ONE CENT is prominently displayed at the center, positioned directly above the country of origin, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed along the upper rim, completing a design that is both simple and deeply memorable.
