2025 Lincoln Cent BU (Red)
The 2025 Lincoln Cent represents a modern continuation of one of the most recognizable series in American numismatics. Minted in Philadelphia, this coin features a brilliant uncirculated finish with a vibrant red luster. The composition of the coin is primarily zinc, making up 99.2 percent of its structure, with a thin outer plating of 0.8 percent copper. On the obverse, the familiar right-facing bust of Abraham Lincoln dominates the design. This side of the coin bears the traditional inscriptions, including the motto IN GOD WE TRUST, the word LIBERTY, and the 2025 year of issue. The reverse displays the Union shield design, which has been minted continuously from 2010 to the present day. This side features the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the denomination ONE CENT, and the Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM, alongside the designer initials LB and JFH.
