The 1911 Liberty Head five-cent piece represents the penultimate year of one of America's most recognizable early twentieth-century coin series. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this particular specimen has survived in an exceptional state of preservation, earning a certified grade of Mint State 64 (MS-64). The coin is composed of base metal, containing no precious metal content, yet its historical design makes it a captivating object of study. On the obverse, the profile of Lady Liberty faces left, adorned with a coronet and a detailed wreath. The year 1911 is clearly struck below the portrait. The reverse side features a large Roman numeral V, representing its five-cent face value, nestled inside a decorative wreath.
