0.0000 troy oz 1911 Very Fine

The 1911 Lincoln cent represents an early chapter in one of America's most enduring coin series. Struck in copper at the San Francisco Mint, this coin carries the distinctive 'S' mint mark on its obverse, positioned just below the date. This particular specimen survives in Very Fine condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that circulated during the early twentieth century while retaining its essential design details. On the obverse, the profile of Abraham Lincoln faces right, a portrait created by Victor David Brenner. Above the president's likeness, the national motto reads 'IN GOD WE TRUST', while the word 'LIBERTY' stands behind his shoulder. The year 1911 and the San Francisco mint mark are clearly visible in the right field. The reverse of the coin features two stylized wheat ears framing the central inscriptions. The denomination 'ONE CENT' and the country of origin 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' are prominently displayed. At the very top curve of the reverse, the traditional Latin motto 'E PLURIBUS UNUM' completes the design, celebrating national unity.
