The 1913 Lincoln cent represents an early chapter in one of America's most enduring coinage series. Struck in copper at the Philadelphia Mint, this piece carries a history that spans over a century, surviving in Very Fine condition. The coin represents the artistic vision of sculptor Victor David Brenner, whose work transformed the face of the nation's lowest-denomination coin. On the obverse side, the profile of Abraham Lincoln faces right, accompanied by the inscriptions LIBERTY and the year 1913, with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST arching above. The reverse design is defined by its simplicity and elegance, framing the words ONE CENT and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA between two stylized stalks of wheat.
