The 1914 Lincoln penny struck at the Denver Mint represents a highly sought-after moment in early twentieth-century American coinage. Out of a relatively small original mintage of just 1,193,000 pieces, very few have survived the decades in collectible condition. This particular copper coin has been officially graded and certified in Very Fine 25 condition, showing a pleasing level of detail that remains visible despite spending time in circulation. The obverse of this historic cent features the classic profile of Abraham Lincoln, accompanied by the legible inscriptions of liberty and the national motto, alongside the 1914 date and the distinct D mint mark below it. On the reverse, the traditional wheat ears frame the denomination and country of origin, with the inscriptions reading clearly as one cent and United States of America.
