1915-D Lincoln Cent AU
The 1915 Lincoln cent struck at the Denver Mint represents an early chapter in one of America's most enduring coin series. Minted in copper during the pre-1933 era, this particular coin survives in About Uncirculated condition, preserving the fine details of its historic imagery and inscriptions after more than a century. On the obverse, the profile of Abraham Lincoln faces right, accompanied by the familiar inscriptions of LIBERTY and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. Below the date of 1915, the small D mint mark indicates its origin from the Denver facility. The reverse design features two stylized wheat ears framing the denomination ONE CENT and the country of origin, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. This iconic combination of elements, created by Victor David Brenner, remains a cornerstone of American numismatic design.
