1919 Lincoln Cent AU
Struck in copper at the Philadelphia Mint, this 1919 Lincoln Cent represents an early era of one of the most enduring coin designs in United States history. The coin is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, showing remarkable detail from the time of its production shortly after the First World War. The obverse features a detailed bust of President Abraham Lincoln facing right. Above his portrait, the classic national motto reads "IN GOD WE TRUST", while the date "1919" is positioned to the right. The word "LIBERTY" is inscribed to the left of the bust. On the reverse, the design showcases two stylized wheat ears framing the central inscriptions. The denomination "ONE CENT" and the country of origin "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" are clearly displayed, completing a design created by Victor David Brenner.
