The 1921 Lincoln cent represents a classic era of United States bronze coinage. Struck in Philadelphia, this particular specimen is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition with a distinct brown copper patina. The coin offers a remarkably clear look at a design that became a staple of American pocket change for decades. On the obverse, the profile of Abraham Lincoln faces right. Above his likeness, the traditional motto IN GOD WE TRUST is inscribed, while the word LIBERTY rests to his left, and the date 1921 is positioned to his right. This side of the coin was created by Victor David Brenner, whose artistic vision established one of the most recognizable portraits in numismatic history. The reverse of the coin is defined by two stylized wheat ears framing the central inscriptions. It prominently displays the denomination ONE CENT and the country name UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. At the very top curve, the Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM completes the design, celebrating national unity through its simple yet elegant composition.
