1925-D Lincoln Cent VF

0.0000 troy oz 1925 Very Fine

Struck in copper at the Denver Mint, this 1925 Lincoln Cent offers a tangible look at early twentieth-century American coinage. The obverse features the familiar profile of Abraham Lincoln, a design created by Victor David Brenner. Above his bust, the traditional motto reads IN GOD WE TRUST, accompanied by the word LIBERTY to his left and the year 1925 to his right. Below the date, a small D mint mark indicates its origin from the Denver facility. Turning the coin over reveals the simple, elegant reverse design that gave this era of pennies its famous nickname. Two stylized ears of wheat frame the central inscriptions, which state the denomination of ONE CENT and the country of origin, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. This particular coin has survived the decades in Very Fine condition, showing moderate wear but retaining clear details of its historic imagery.
