0.3617 troy oz .900 1925 Extra Fine

Struck in 90 percent silver, this 1925 half dollar commemorates the 150th anniversary of the historic events at Lexington and Concord. The coin contains 0.3617 troy ounces of precious metal and serves as a striking artistic tribute to the opening moments of the American Revolutionary War. The obverse of the coin features a detailed depiction of the Concord Minuteman, a symbol of the rapid mobilization of local militia. Inscriptions on this side include the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, along with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and CONCORD MINUTE-MAN. On the reverse, the design showcases the Old Belfry located in Lexington. This structure played a critical role in the conflict, as its bell was rung to sound the alarm that summoned the Minutemen to the battlefield. The reverse is inscribed with OLD BELFRY, LEXINGTON, alongside the dual commemorative dates of 1775 to 1925 and the denomination, HALF DOLLAR.
