In 1925, the United States Mint produced a copper cent that continues to captivate observers with its classic artistry and enduring design. This particular coin survives in About Uncirculated condition, preserving the subtle details of its surfaces from nearly a century ago. Composed of 95 percent copper, the coin has developed a rich character that highlights its historic engraving. The front of the coin displays a detailed, right-facing portrait of Abraham Lincoln, a depiction created by sculptor Victor David Brenner. Accompanying the profile is the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the word LIBERTY and the date of production, 1925. This side of the coin presents a dignified look at one of America's most recognizable figures. On the reverse side, the denomination ONE CENT and the country name UNITED STATES OF AMERICA are prominently featured. This central text is framed by two stylized wheat ears, which curve along the left and right borders. The Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed above, completing a design that defined the look of the American penny for decades.
