1926-D Lincoln Cent AU

0.0000 troy oz 1926 Almost Unc

In 1926, the Denver Mint produced over 28 million copper cents, continuing a beloved tradition in American coinage. This Lincoln Cent, preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, represents a major milestone in United States numismatic design, as this series was the very first regular-issue circulating coin in the nation to depict an actual historical individual. The obverse features the profile of Abraham Lincoln, designed by Victor David Brenner. Legible inscriptions on this face include the words LIBERTY, the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date 1926 above the D mint mark of the Denver facility. On the reverse, the design showcases two stylized wheat stalks framing the denomination ONE CENT and the country name UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
