1926-D Lincoln Cent XF
In 1926, the Denver Mint produced over 28 million Lincoln cents, including this well-preserved specimen graded in Extra Fine condition. This series holds a special place in numismatic history as the very first regularly circulating United States coin to depict an actual historical individual rather than an allegorical figure. Designed by Victor David Brenner, the obverse features a detailed portrait of Abraham Lincoln facing right, accompanied by the inscriptions of liberty and trust. The reverse displays a classic minimalist design featuring two stalks of wheat framing the denomination. The legible inscriptions on this copper piece include the words ONE CENT and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, alongside the traditional mottoes.
