1928-D Lincoln Cent XF

0.0000 troy oz 1928 Extra Fine

Struck at the Denver Mint in 1928, this copper cent represents a classic era of American coinage. The obverse features a detailed portrait of Abraham Lincoln, facing right, which has been a staple of the one cent denomination since its introduction. Above the bust, the traditional motto of trust is inscribed, flanked by the word liberty and the date of manufacture. Turning the coin over reveals the iconic reverse design, characterized by two stylized wheat ears framing the denomination. The inscriptions clearly display the words ONE CENT and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, alongside the Latin motto meaning out of many, one. This particular specimen survives in Extra Fine condition, showcasing crisp details in Lincoln's hair and the distinct lines of the wheat stalks.
