Struck at the Denver Mint in 1929, this Lincoln cent represents a classic era of United States bronze coinage. Composed of 95 percent copper, with the remaining 5 percent consisting of tin and zinc, the coin displays a distinct red and brown coloration that develops naturally on copper surfaces over time. This specimen survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its original strike. The obverse features the familiar profile bust of Abraham Lincoln, facing right. Above his portrait, the reassuring motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" arches along the upper rim, while the word "LIBERTY" is positioned to his left. The year 1929 and the "D" mint mark of the Denver facility are clearly struck on the right side. On the reverse, the design showcases two stylized ears of wheat framing the central inscriptions. The denomination "ONE CENT" and the country of origin "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" are boldly displayed in the center. At the very top curve of the reverse, the traditional Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" completes this enduring piece of American numismatic history.
