The 1931 Lincoln Cent represents a classic era of American copper coinage. Struck in Philadelphia, this particular coin survives in Almost Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its historic imagery. The coin's composition is solid copper, offering a warm, traditional metallic luster that highlights the artistry of the early twentieth century. On the obverse, a detailed bust of Abraham Lincoln faces right. Above his portrait, the timeless motto IN GOD WE TRUST is inscribed, while the word LIBERTY stands clearly to the left. The date 1931 is positioned at the lower right. This side of the coin was originally created by the artist Victor David Brenner, whose vision has defined the face of the penny for generations. The reverse side features two stylized wheat ears framing the central inscriptions. The denomination ONE CENT is boldly displayed at the center, positioned directly above UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
