Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this particular specimen is preserved in a brilliant uncirculated state, retaining the vibrant red coloration that copper coins display when they are freshly minted and carefully shielded from the elements over time. The obverse of the coin features the familiar profile of Lincoln, accompanied by the legible inscriptions of liberty and trust that define the nation's coinage. Specifically, the words "IN GOD WE TRUST" arch above the portrait, while "LIBERTY" stands clearly behind his shoulder, and the date "1934" is positioned in the lower right field.
