In 1937, the Denver Mint produced a classic copper penny that remains a favorite for those exploring twentieth-century American coinage. This particular specimen is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, retaining its original red copper luster decades after it left the coining press. The obverse features a detailed profile bust of Abraham Lincoln facing right, a design created by Victor David Brenner. Above the portrait, the timeless motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed, flanked by the word "LIBERTY" and the 1937 date, which sits just above the "D" mint mark representing the Denver facility. On the reverse, the coin displays two stylized stalks of wheat framing the denomination.
